Hill Voice, 11 August, 2026, Rangamati: Organized by the Baghaichari Upazila branch of the Parbatya Chattagram Pahari Chhatra Parishad (PCP), an organizational tour and exchange meetings were held across seven secondary and lower-secondary schools in the upazila between 4 August and 10 August 2026. A PCP delegation led by Uddipan Chakma conducted the tour.
During the visits, the delegation discussed the new curriculum and the quality of education with teachers, and presented the headmasters with copies of the ‘Manabendra Narayan Larma Memorial Commemorative Volume 2025’. Later, discussions were held with students addressing mobile addiction, online gambling, drug abuse, health awareness, and reading habits. Students were also encouraged to stay focused on their studies and to develop moral values and a sense of social responsibility.
Conducted in three phases across Khedarmara, Uluchari, Ugalchari, Tulaban, Sarwatali, Dakshin Pablakhali, and Medinipur schools, this awareness-raising initiative was widely praised by local teachers and guardians.
