One Jumma abducted by army-backed terrorists in Rangamati and later released

Hill Voice, 9 December 2020, Rangamati: Army-backed reformists and UPDF (Democratic) terrorists have allegedly abducted a Jumma from his home of Chairman Para village in Jibtali Union of Rangamati Sadar Upazila’s under Rangamati Hill District. However, the abducted man was later released.

According to local sources, a group of reformist and UPDF (Democratic) terrorists abducted Chisu Chakma (47), son of late Surendra Lal Karbari at around 4:00 pm on December 8, 2020. After the abduction, the terrorists took Chisu Chakma to their place and harassed him by questioning him.

After that at around 5:00 pm, the abductors took Chisu Chakma to the nearby Jibtali army camp and handed him over to the army. Later, the army released Chisu Chakma at the request of Sudatta Chakma, chairman of Jibtali Union Council.
