Hill Voice, 28 November 2023, Jurachari: It has been reported that massive army operations have been conducted in various areas of Jurachari upazila in Rangamati district. This has created panic among the locals.
According to local source, on November 28, an army patrolling team numbering 15/20 led by warrant officer Rabiul from Lulongchari army camp under Banajogichara army zone in Jurachari upazila of Rangamati hill district stationed at Pajuadam area in Ward no. 7 of Jurachari union.
Another army team numbering 20/22, under the leadership of warrant officer Anower from Fakirachari army camp of the said zone, reportedly stayed in Kandebachara area under Ward no. 9 of Dumdumya union, on 28 Nov. 23.
On the other hand, an army team numbering 20/25 personnel led by a Captain from Ward no. 2 of Jurachari union, from the zone sadar of the same zone, took position at an area named Amtuli.
It has been said that the movements have created fear and panic among the local people.
