A Bengali shot allegedly by army-backed Mog Party in Rajasthali

Hill Voice, 26 June 2020, Rangamati:  A Bengali youth has been reportedly injured in the firing of armed terrorists of the army-backed Mog Party, who had defected from the Arakan Liberation Party (ALP) in Ghilachhari Union of Rajasthali Upazila under Rangamati Hill District.

According to local sources, the young man named Ali Ahmed, who was injured in the shooting, had been working as a collector for the so-called Mog Party in the area for a long time.

According to local sources, on 25 June 2020 at around 9:30 pm, an armed group of the Mog Party surrounded the house of Ali Ahmed in Talukdar Para of Ghilachhari Union and shot at him. Ali Ahmed was shot in the head, back and hands and seriously injured.

Relatives of the injured Ali Ahmed took him to the Rajasthali Upazila Health Complex after the terrorists left shortly after the shooting. After giving first aid there, the injured Ali Ahmed was taken to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital on the advice of a doctor.

According to local sources, the injured Bengali youth Ali Ahmed had been working in the Rajasthali area for a long time as a collector of the army-backed Mog Party.

According to local sources, Ali Ahmed betrayed the Mog Party a month ago by embezzling a large portion of the extorted money. That is why the angry members of the Mog Party made the gun attack on Ali Ahmed.
