Hill Voice, 12 March 2020, Khagrachari: On 12 March 2020, earlier in the evening, an innocent villager named Mangal Kumar Chakma (50), s/o Nalini Ranjan Chakma, was abducted from the Munigam village of Bhaibonchora Union of Khagrachari Sadar upazila under Khagrachari District by the reformist terrorists. It is reported that a group of reformist group led by Dipan Ala Chakma from Dewan Para in the vicinity came and kidnapped Mangal Kumar Chakma. Among the abductors, three more were identified by the local people they are Sadhu, Daja and Sujan.
It is reported that when the family members contacted with the abductors the abductors have denied the incident of abduction. As a result, the family of the abducted Mangal Kumar Chakma is worried about his security
When contacted by the locals, they complained that for a long time the armed terrorists were staying in Dewan para and abducting the people of the area, collecting ransom and publicly committing various acts of terrorism. But the administration took no action against the terrorists; rather they continuously support the activities of the terrorist. As a result, people in the area are being forced to live in a state of insecurity.
