Allegation of occupation of pond of indigenous people by public representative in Tanore

Hill Voice, 14 August 2020, Rajshahi: The 40 indigenous families have made allegation of occupation of their pond against vice chairman of Tanore upazila in Rajshahi.

These families are members of Nalpukuria Fish Cultivator Cooperative Association. Recently they put an allegation to the Upazila Nirabahi Officer to get back their pond.

According to allegation, while the victims went to meet vice chairman with the demand of getting back their pond, he clearly said that without paying money, pond would not be given hack. The victims said that they have to pay one and half lakh taka to get back their pond.

While asked about the allegation, upazila vice chairman Sonia Sardar said that he was not involved in any irregularities.
