Indigenous girl abducted from Bandarban rescued after 6 days

Hill Voice, 31 December 2021, Bandarban: Benapole Port Police have rescued an indigenous girl named Uwaime Marma (17) from Benapole Bazar after missing for 6 days. At that time a Muslim youth named Solaiman (20) was arrested.

He was rescued on December 26 (Tuesday) in the morning. The rescued girl is the daughter of Mongching Marma of Yangcha Bara Para village under Lama police station of Bandarban district. The detainee was identified as Solaiman, son of Abu Hashem of Durgapur village in Benapole municipality.

Mamun Khan, officer-in-charge of Benapole Port Police Station, said a teenager named Uwaime Marma went missing from Bandarban. Later, her guardians lodged a complaint with Lama police station. From there pictures were sent to different police stations.

She was rescued from Benapole market on December 28 after a long 6 days.
