Minority minor schoolgirl abducted in Naogaon, case filed


Hill Voice, 12 September 2020, Naogaon: A schoolgirl named Pallabi Rani (13) of Madhyadurgapur village in Naogaon Sadar has been abducted. Sajjad Hossain (21), son of Motahar Hossain of Harshi village in Mahadevpur upazila, abducted her.

The abductee’s mother Sabita Kabiraj filed a case with Naogaon Sadar Model Police Station on 8 September 2020 Tuesday evening. The abducted Pallabi is the daughter of Bablu Kabiraj of the village and a seventh grade student.

It is learnt that Sajjad Hossain of Harshi village used to work as a laborer in Nannu-Munnu’s garden house in Madhyadurgapur village. He used to tease Pallabi (13), a minor schoolgirl from a poor Hindu family next door. At one point, he was lured away and abducted on Tuesday.

OC (Investigation) of Naogaon Sadar Model Police Station Faisal Bin Ahsan admitted receiving the complaint and said that efforts were being made to rescue the victim and arrest the accused.
