Army-backed terrorist group threatens to kill 2 Jumma UP members in Rangamati

Hill Voice, 23 September 2021, Rangamati: It has been alleged that two elected members of Jibtali Union Parishad of Rangamati Sadar Upazila under Rangamati Hill District have been threatened with death by the Bangladesh army-backed UPDF (Democratic) and Reformist terrorist.

It has been reported that the UPDF (Democratic) and Reformist terrorists have made these threats to the two UP members through the chairman of Jibtali Union Parishad, Sudatta Chakma, on Thursday, 23 September 2021. When the terrorists asked Chairman Sudatta Chakma to inform the UP members about the threat, Chairman Sudatta Chakma informed them directly today.

The two UP members threatened by the UPDF (Democratic) and Reformist terrorists are Milon Tanchangya (36), son of Umesh Chandra Tanchangya, from Hajachari Tanchangya Para, who is a member of Ward No. 8 and Dipankar Talukder who is a member of Ward No. 9 of Jibtali Union.

The UPDF (Democratic) and Reformist terrorists alleged that the two UP members are not helping them so far. That is why the terrorists have issued a ‘red alert’ on the two UP members. They asked Chairman Sudatta Chakma to informing the threat to the two members of his union. 

Meanwhile, the UP members and their families are deeply concerned over the threat posed by the terrorist.
