Hill Voice, 12 June 2022, Bandarban: It is learnt that two innocent Jumma villagers abducted from Rajvila Union area of Bandarban Sadar Upazila under Bandarban Hill District by the army and local Awami League-backed Mog Party terrorists were beaten up and handed over to police filing a false case on the advice of Army.
The two victim Jumma villagers of abduction and false case are- (1) Khokon Tanchangya Khoka (43), son of late Biran Tanchangya, village- Tanchangya Para, Rajvila Union and (2) Jiban Chakma alias Suman (45) son Sura Mereya Chakma, both from Tanchangya Para of Rajvila Union. Note that Jibon Chakma’s original home is in Baghaichari upazila of Rangamati district. However, he has been living with his family in Tanchangya Para area of Rajvila for a long time and also has a tea shop there.
It may be mentioned that after the abduction of the villagers the day before yesterday afternoon, the terrorists of the Mog Party took them to their den in Bangalhalia area of Rajasthali upazila under Rangamati district and detained and beat them. It is learnt that later the villager was handed over putting arms with them to the Chandraghona police on June 11, 2022 on the advice of their supporter, the army at the Rajasthali army camp. A case has been filed against the two abducted innocent villagers at Chandraghona police station under the Arms Act.
After that, various online media outlets influenced by the army were accused of spreading false propaganda that two terrorists with weapons had been arrested in a special operation led by Md. Iqbal Bahar Chowdhury, Officer-in-Charge of Chandraghona Police Station. In addition, the two villagers have been promoted as collectors of the JSS (Santu Larma) party.
When contacted, several local leaders of the Jana Samhati Samiti said on condition of anonymity that the two villagers were completely innocent and were not members of any JSS committee, there is no question of being collector. The army and the terrorists are conspiring to deliberately criminalize the two villagers and tarnish the image of the JSS.
According to local sources, at around 4:00 pm on June 10, 2022, an armed group of 6 terrorists of Mog Party led by Uchingmong Rakhine alias Mudi suddenly came in a Mahendra car in Tanchangya Para area of Rajvila and abducted Khokon Tanchangya and Jiban Chakma. The terrorists abducted Khokon Tanchangya from his home and Jiban Chakma from his shop.
According to local sources the abductors had gone there from Headman Bihar Para area of Bangalhalia union of Rajasthali upazila under Rangamati district adjacent to Rajvila, according to local sources. The terrorists abducted Khokon Tanchangya and Jiban Chakma and took them to Bangalhalia.
It is learnt that after the abduction, some villagers, including the wife of Jiban Chakma alias Sumon contacted the Mogh Party terrorists in Bangahalia and demanded the release of her husband. But at the time, the terrorists said that they did not know about the incident. However, the two villagers were severely beaten by the Mog Party terrorists and handed over to the Chandraghona police on the advice of the army, according to local sources.
Meanwhile, on behalf of the administration it was falsely said to the various media outlets that in a special operation of police force and joint forces led by Officer-in-Charge of Chandraghona Police Station Md. Iqbal Bahar Chowdhury, the two persons were caught under a cotton tree in front of Kankrachari Government Primary School in No.7 Ward of Bangalhalia on June 10, 2022 at 10:00 pm.
A fabricated story was also published that a home-made 15.5-inch LG wooden butt and four rounds of ammunition were also seized from the two detainees.
