Hill Voice, 10 June 2022, Bandarban: It has been alleged that two innocent Jumma villagers have been abducted from Rajvila Union area of Bandarban Sadar Upazila under Bandarban Hill District by the army and local Awami League-backed Mogh Party terrorists.
The abduction took place today (on June 10, 2022) at around 4:00 pm.
The two abducted Jumma villagers are- (1) Khokon Tanchangya (43), son of late Biran Tanchangya, village- Tanchangya Para, Rajvila Union and (2) Jiban Chakma (45), both from Tanchangya Para of Rajvila Union. Note that Jibon Chakma’s original home is in Khagrachhari district. However, he has been living with his family in Tanchangya Para area of Rajvila for a long time and also has a tea shop there.
According to local sources, today at around 4:00 pm an armed group of six terrorists of Mogh Party led by Uchingmong Rakhine alias Mudi suddenly came to Tanchangya Para area of Rajvila and abducted Khokon Tanchangya and Jiban Chakma.
The terrorists abducted Khokon Tanchangya from his home and Jiban Chakma from his shop.
It is to be mentioned that the abductors had gone there from Headman Bihar Para area of Bangalhalia union of Rajasthali upazila under Rangamati district adjacent to Rajvila, according to local sources.
It is learnt that the terrorists took Khokon Tanchangya and Jiban Chakma to Bangalhalia after abduction.
The latest condition of the abducted villagers was not known till this report was written.
It may be mentioned that on May 7, 2022, an elected Jumma ward member of Kuhalong Union Council of Bandarban Sadar Upazila named Chayugya Marma (46), son of late Abu Mong Marma, was also abducted by the Mog Party terrorists when he had gone to Bangalhalia.
