Hill Voice, 2 September 2020, Khagrachhari: It has been reported that a Jumma was shot dead by a miscreant in Fer Karbari Para of Guimara Upazila of Khagrachhari. The deceased was identified as Zendra Tripura (48).
Upon receiving the news, the police, security forces and local public representatives visited the spot on 1 September 2020 Tuesday morning and did not find the body anywhere.
Palindri Tripura, wife of victim Jendra Tripura, said a group of masked terrorists first asked them to open the door late Monday night. After refusing to open the door, the miscreants have broken door and shot dead Jendra. Later they tied him with the rope and took the body away. The gunmen were not recognized as they wore masks.
Guimara police inspector (investigation) Shafiqul Islam said he was not sure if Jendra Tripura had been killed at all. However, the missing person has not been found so far. No one has come to file a case in this regard.
However, ASP (Ramgarh Circle) Farhad Mazhar said, legal action will be taken after investigation.
Angyajai Marma, a ward member of Hafchhari Union Parishad, said that he had been informed about the incident on his mobile phone the night after the incident. No body was found as no blood stains were found later.”
