MN Larma’s 81st birth anniversary celebrated in Devasishnagar

Hill voice, 15 September 2020, Rangamati: On the occasion of the 81st birthday of the great revolutionary leader MN Larma, the MN Larma Memorial Public Library has organized a discussion meeting and prize distribution ceremony and lit candles today on 15 September 2020 at 4.30 pm at Devasish Nagar of Rangamati town.

Following the hygiene rules of COVID-19, the discussion meeting and prize distribution ceremony was presided over by Sumon Chakma, while Intumani Talukder, General Secretary of Chittagong Hill Tracts Branch of Bangladesh Indigenous Peoples Forum as the chief guests, Indradatta Talukder, eminent cultural personality of Debashishnagar area, Sagar Tripura (Nantu), General Secretary of the Library and President of Rangamati District Branch of Bangladesh Private Public Library Association spoke in the event.

In the brief discussion session, the speakers expressed their hope that the library would play a helpful role in building a society, country and nationally enlightened people by incorporating MN Larma’s autobiography, principles, ideals and philosophy in its proper application.

Afterwards, congratulations and best wishes were given to the students who passed the SSC examination of 2020 in the area and goodwill prizes were given by the guests to the students for their success and hope for a bright future.

In the end, the discussion meeting and proze distribution ceremony came to an end with the concluding speech of the chairperson of the discussion meeting Sumon Chakma.
