Like every other day, today 29 July 2020, Wednesday, in the morning, when her husband went to another village to work as a day laborer, the accused Md. Kamrul Islam came to the house of Pusp Rani Koch at 3:00 pm and ordered her to register all their property in his name. He also threatened to kill her, if she failed to do so.

At one stage, Kamrul Islam got angry and started beating Pusp Rani with a stick and started cursing her in inaudible language. Md. Kamrul Islam fled when the villagers came forward at one stage after hearing the screams of torture. Later, the locals rescued the injured Pusp Rani and took her to Bhaluka Government Health Complex.
