Hill Voice, 30 May 2022, Bandarban: An army patrol team from Ruma Army Zone in Ruma Upazila under Bandarban Hill District has allegedly detained two innocent Jumma villagers from Ruma Bazaar.
The arrested persons are- (1) Bipanno Tanchangya (22), son of Roni Kumar Tanchangya and (2) Ronya Tanchangya (23), son of Chando Tanchangya, whose houses are in Gangachara (Tiger Para) village of Barathali union in Bilachhari upazila of Rangamati hill district bordering Ruma.
It is learnt that the villagers went to Ruma Bazaar yesterday (May 29, 2022) for family shopping.
Today, at around 6:00 am, on the way home from the bazaar, the army patrol team of Ruma army zone found the two villagers on the way, arrested them and took them to Ruma army zone.
According to the latest reports, the army is now moving the detainees towards Bandarban Sadar.
