Hill Voice, September 23, 2019, Monday, Bandarban: A Tripura school girl who was abducted from Bandarban has been rescued from Basurhat Municipality of Companigonj of Noakhali. The locals have handed over the abducted girl and the abductor Nur Hossain Nishat to the police from the Ward No. 1 of Bashurhat Municipality on September 22 in the morning. A case has been filed with the Companigonj Police Station by the brother of abducted girl.
It is learnt that the school girl who is a daughter of Barendra Tripura of Jorargonj police station of Chittagong district has been abducted on September 21 in the evening when she had gone to visit her elder sister in Bandarban.
Abductor Nur Hossain Nishat is the son of Zaker Hossain of Kamal Bari of Ward No. 4 of Kabirhat Municipality of Noakhali district. Getting informed, brother of victim has filed a case against the Nur Hossain and some other unknown persons.
Office-in-Charge of Companigonj Police Station Arifur Rahman has informed that arrested Nur Hossain has been sent to the jail and rescued school girl has been sent to the Noakhali General Hospital for medical test.
