Hill Voice, 19 August 2019, Monday, Rangamati: On August 19, army from Longadu sub-zone arrested an innocent village named Deva Bikash Chakma, 38 years, s/o Ashok Kumar Chakma, from Golachari village of Lonadu union under Longadu upazila in Rangamati district.
The victim sustained severe injuries due to brutal torture by the army. In critical injuries, the victim was handed over to Longadu police station in the evening of same day. He was falsely charged with a killing incident took place on 8 November 2018.
On same day at around 11:00 am, army from Longadu sub-zone apprehended Suporna Jibon Chakma s/o Prabhat Kumar Chakma from Radhamon Bazar of Longadu union under Longadu upazila in Rangamati district. After harassment, Suporna Jibon Chakma was released in the evening.
