It is learnt that Juwel Chakma had been suffering from throat pain for some days. Hence yesterday, on the morning of April 11, 2020, he and his wife went to a healer (Kabiraj) in Midingyacheri of Subalong for treatment.

Today, on May 12, 2020, at around 3.00 pm, Jewel Chakma and his wife were crossing the Subalong Bazaar on their way home from Midingyachhari when the reformers called them from behind to load their boat in the Bazar.

But as Jewel Chakma did not notice, then the Reformists chased them with another boat and forcibly took them to the Subalong Bazar.
