A person abducted in Khagrachari, a house vandalized in Jibtali by army-backed terrorists

Hill Voice, 23 September 2020: An army-backed Reformist and UPDF (Democratic) armed terrorist group has allegedly abducted a man from Tetultala in Khagrachhari and vandalized a villager’s house at Jibtali in Rangamati.

According to local sources, on 23 September 2020 Wednesday at 11:00 am, Konak Baran Chakma alias Supreme (53), a member of Parbatya Chattagram Jana Samhati Samiti (PCJSS), who had returned to normal life as per the Chittagong Hill Tracts Accord, has been abducted by the UPDF (Democratic) armed terrorists from Tetultala in Khagrachhari town. He is son late Gadaram Chakma.

It is learnt that Kanak Baran Chakma was detained by the terrorists when he went to meet them being called by the miscreants. As of this report writing, the terrorists have not released him.

A house in Jibtali vandalized

On the other hand, it has been reported that a Jumma villager’s house and belongings were vandalized by Reformist terrorists in Jibtali of Rangamati Sadar Upazila.

According to local sources, on 22 September 2020 at around 2:00 am a group of Reformist terrorists went to Panchhari area of ​​Jibtali Union and ransacked the house and belongings of Nunu Chakma (42). Nunu Chakma and her family were not at home at the time.

It is to be noted that about a month ago, the grocery shop owned by Nunu Chakma in Panchhari was closed down by the Reformists. Since then, his family has been in deep financial trouble and he too has been fleeing in fear of terrorists.

25 sets of uniforms provided by army to the Reformists in Longadu

According to local sources, 25 sets of army uniforms were handed over to the Reformist armed terrorists on behalf of Longadu Zone of 21 Bir (Dubedya Ekush) of the army on September 11 at 7.00 pm.

A group of 14 member of Reformist armed miscreants led by Apan Chakma has been stationed in the village of Manikjorchhara in Longadu Sadar under the shelter of the army near the army camp.
