A Jumma woman attempted to hack to death by a miscreant at Kanchpur in Narayanganj

Hill Voice, 28 December 2020, Dhaka: A Jumma woman named Pushpa Chakma (35) war attempted to hack to death by a miscreant in Kanchpur area under Sonargaon police station in Narayanganj district. The incident took place on December 27 at around 4:00 am.

Injured Pushpa Chakma’s house is in Dighinala of Khagrachari. Her husband’s name is Raj Chakma. She lives in North Kanchpur area of ​​Narayanganj with her three daughters. She works in Sinha Garments as a finishing operator.

Pushpa Chakma’s colleague Subhash Chakma said they worked together. Last night, Pushpa Chakma was returning home on foot after completing night duty. A young man blocked her way when she came near the house. He stabbed her in the chest, back, left arm and leg at random. Later she called her relatives and then was taken to the local hospital by her relatives. Later she was shifted to Dhaka Medical College on the advice of doctors.

At present, Pushpa Chakma is undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition.

Injured Pushpa Chakma said that she could recognize the person who had stabbed her. She has seen him in that area many times. She had no connection or conflict with him. He did not snatch anything from her by stabbing her. She did not know the purpose of the stabbing to her.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Sonargaon Police Station Md. Rafiqul Islam confirmed the incident and said, “I came to know about the matter through the police of DMCH.” One man stabbed her. The woman said she would recognize him if she saw him. However, efforts are being made to know more details of the incident.
