Hill Voice, 02 July 2020, Khagrachhari: It has been reported that three Jummas have been arrested by the army in Panchhari upazila of Khagrachhari district.
According to local sources, on 01 June 2020 Tuesday, they were arrested from Baidyapara in Pujgang of Panchhari upazila around 2.30 pm.
The arrested persons are: Pradipmoy Chakma (45), son of late Hiranmoy Chakma of Jaduganala village of Khyanghat Union in Mahalchhari Upazila; Montu Chakma alias Sushil (45), son of Sarada Chakma of Baburo Para of Ultachhari Union in Panchhari Upazila and Guri Lal Chakma alias Coin (35), son of Sukhya Chakma of Akshay Para in Panchhari Upazila.
It may be mentioned that the group of army led by Captain Ahsan of Panchhari Zone raided Baidyapara in Pujgang on Tuesday night.
It is learnt that the three persons who were staying there at that time were forcibly woken up without any warrant. It is also known that at that time there were 2/3 terrorists along with the army in arresting the victims.
