Hill Voice, 29 June 2024, Rangamati: Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI) allegedly detained two Jumma villagers of Balukhali Union in Rangamati Sadar Upazila visiting to Jurachari Upazila Sadar of Rangamati district.
The incident took place on 28 June 2024 around 7 p.m in Jurachari upazila headquarter area.
The two victims were Pattar Moni Chakma (47), son of- Indra Lakshya Chakma and Tukku Moni Chakma (36), son of- Indra Lakshya Chakma, residents of Balukhali village under Balukhali Union of Rangamati Sadar Upazila.
Reportedly, the victims were detained while visiting Jurachari for their family works.
According to local sources, the DGFI member Md. Manjurul Islam, in charge of Jakka Bazar Army Camp, took them to the camp.
As of writing this report, the victims are said to be detained at the said army camp.
