Hill voice, 23 June 2023, Rangamati: With the slogan “Strengthening national unity and solidarity of hill and plain indigenous peoples” today, Friday, around 3 pm, a friendly football match between hill and plain indigenous peoples and prize giving ceremony will be held at Rangamati Chinghla Mong Chowdhury (Mari) Stadium.
On the event, the former member of National Human Rights Commission and educationist Nirupa Dewan will be present as the inaugrator, President of Bangladesh Indigenous Peoples Forum (BIPF) and Chairman of Chittagong Hill Tracts Regional Council Jyotirindra Bodhipriya Larma as the chief guest, while Prakriti Ranjan Chakma, president of Chittagong Hill Tracts region of BIPF will preside over the event.The indigenous students from different schools, colleges and universities from the hill and plain will also present there.
The member secretary of the organizing committee, Jewel Chakma said, “We have organized this friendly football match aiming to uphold the amity and harmony between the hill and plain indigenous peoples. There will be an effort to strengthen brotherhood and solidarity among us through sports and relationship in the future indigenous rights movement.
He also called upon all sports lovers to enjoy the friendly football match to be held today.
