Body of missing Nihlamong Marma found in Ruma

Hill Voice, 6 April 2020, Bandarban:  On 5 April 2020 in the afternoon the slit-throated body of Mr. Luhla Mong Marma (34), son of Headman Mr. Mong Chou Marma of Paindu Mouza of Ruma upazila under Bandarban Hill District who was missing has reportedly been found. Police has recovered the body from a desolate area of Baganpara-Paindu road of Paindu union. After that, Police and public representatives have taken the body to Ruma headquarters for autopsy.

It has been learnt that on 3 April 2020 Mr. Luhla Mong Marma was missing after being out from his house. On 5 March 2020 some local Jumma villagers when they went to a hill for Jum-works have seen the slit-throated body of missing Luhla Mong Marma at a stream nearby Baganpara area of Paindu union and informed the police. Later a group of police with local public representatives have recovered the body at 10:30 pm on that day.

Till writing the report, no case has been filed with Ruma police station and police has reportedly arrested none in this connection.

Locals said that Luhlamong Marma was accused of being involved in work with the Arakan Liberation Party (ALP), a foreign armed group.
