Hill Voice, 26 January 2023, Rangamati: It has been alleged that an innocent Jumma was abducted from Bangalhalia in Rajasthani upazila of Rangamati by army-backed MNP armed terrorists known as Mog Party and shot dead in cold blood at Raikhali in Kaptai upazila.
Yesterday Wednesday (January 25) at 5:00 pm, this brutal murder took place. The deceased has been identified as Samrat Chakma (32). However, it is not known for sure where his house is.
According to local sources, around 5.00 pm on Wednesday, a group of army personnel came to Gangrichara area of Ward No. 4 of Raikhali Union of Kaptai Upazila. At that time Mog Party terrorists also came in a Mahindra pickup along with the army.
At this time, the Mog Party terrorists brought Samrat Chakma picking up him from Bengalhalia.
Soon after coming to Gongrichara, they shot dead Samrat Chakma in cold blood. After the death of Samrat Chakma was confirmed, the Mog Party terrorists left for Bangalhaliya in a Mahindra jeep along with the army.
It is learnt that later the police and army went to the spot and recovered the dead body of Samrat Chakma and brought it to Chandraghona police station.
It is also known from the local sources that on that day at noon, Mog Party terrorists came to the spot and opened fire indiscriminately. It is reported that this created intense panic and fear in the minds of the people of the area.
It is to be noted that with the help of the army, the terrorists of Mog Party have been carrying out terrorist activities like murder, kidnapping, ransom, extortion etc. in Rajstali and Kaptai of Rangamati and Sadar Upazila of Bandarban.
The army is continuing to establish mayhem in the area by deploying the Mog Party terrorists with weapons in Powaitu Para of Gaindya Union of Rajasthali to conduct terrorist activities.
