Hill Voice, 10 February 2021, Rangamati: A group of RAB-7 arrested a person named Dalim Chakma (40) from Bormachari Bazar area of Fatikchari Union under Kaukhali Upazila of Rangamati District on the morning of 9 February 2021.
Detained Dalim Chakma’s house is in the Bormachari mouth area of Fatikchari union. His father’s name is Mon Mohan Chakma. He is a businessman by profession. He has a sawmill in Bormachari bazar.
According to local sources, Dalim Chakma was working at his own sawmill in Bormachari bazar yesterday morning. At that time a team of RAB-7 arrested him from there.
After being detained, he was kept in the custody of RAB all day and was handed over to Kaukhali police station at mid-night around 12:00 pm. It is learnt that a case has been filed against him under the Narcotics Act for making false allegations of ‘marijuana cultivation’.
