Hill Voice, 1 April 2025, Khagrachhari: It has been alleged that two Jumma villagers were abducted by anti-Accord UPDF terrorists from Headman Para of Taindong Union of Matiranga Upazila of Khagrachhari district.

The abductees were identified as Nanai Tripura (28), s/o late Tirtharay Tripura and Bikram Tripura (40), s/o Lal Mohan Tripura.

Local sources reported that the abduction incident took place at around 5:30 pm yesterday, March 31, 2025.

The kidnapping has been carried out under the leadership of Junel Chakma, an armed commander of the UPDF and Columbus Chakma, a tax collector, who were in charge of the Taindong area.

The abductees are said to be very innocent and poor villagers.

A source said that the UPDF terrorists abducted the villagers on the pretext that they were supporters and informants of the Jana Sanghati Samiti.

It is learnt that the abductees have not been released till the time of writing this report.
