Hill Voice, 11 June 2020, Khagrachari: Sudhasindhu Khisa, a member of the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) Regional Council and a veteran politician, is no more.
He died of old age at the government residence at Kadamtali in Khagrachhari town at around 12:05 pm on Wednesday, June 10, 2020.
He was 77 years old at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, one son and two daughters.
Meanwhile, the CHT Regional Council has expressed deep grief over the death of Sudhasindhu Khisa and extended deep sympathy and condolences to his bereaved family and relatives.
In a condolence message signed by Chairman of the CHT Regional Council Jyotirindra Bodhipriya Larma on 10 June 2020, it is mentioned that Sudhasindhu Khisa was a member of the delegation of the Parbatya Chattagram Jana Samhati Samiti (PCJSS) in the dialogue process between the National Committee formed by the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and the PCJSS.
The condolence message further said that Sudhasindhu Khisa had made significant contribution in the signing of the Chittagong Hill Tracts Accord for the political solution of the Chittagong Hill Tracts problem.
Besides, Raktotpal Tripura, a member of the CHT Regional Council, as the representative of the Chairman of the CHT Regional Council, paid his last respects to Sudhasindhu Khisa at his residence in Kadamtali yesterday.
