Hill Voice, 10 July 2024,Rangamati: Five innocent Marma villagers from Bandarban district were reportedly severely beaten up by army-backed Mog Party terrorists in Bangalhalia Union Sadar area of Rajasthali Upazila under Rangamati district.
Reportedly, the incident took place on July 5, 2024 and all the victims are residents of Rajvila Union of Bandarban Sadar Upazila.
The victims has been identified as (1) Paisui Aung Marma (38), son of- Angkyathwai Marma, Village- Udal Bosnia Headman para, elected UP Member of Ward No. 2; (2) Bablu Marma (30), son of- Thwaiang Pru Marma, village- Rajvila Bihar Para, Ward No. 1, an office assistant of the Union Parishad; (3) Uchanu Marma (25), son of- Usapru Marma, Village- Bura Member para Udalbaniya, Ward No. 2; (4) Usai Mong Marma (18), son of- Unknown, Village- Bura Member para Udalbaniya, Ward No. 2, a student and (5) Thuimong Marma (26), son of- Unknown, village- Bura Member Para Udalbaniya, Ward No. 2.
Allegedly, deviding in two groups, the Mog Party terrorists take position in two separate dens where they carry out all sorts of terrorist activities from in Rajasthani upazila. One of its hideouts is in the half-wall house of a Tanchangya villager on Naikyachara road behind Bangalhalia bazar in Bangalhalia union. They previously took they house away from the owner and drove him away. This terrorist hideout is just within 200 yards of Bangalhalia Bazar army camp. Another hideout of the Mog Party is reported to be in Powaitu Para in Gaindya Union.
According to the locals, the Mog Party terrorists openly carry out these activities, staying near camp. The army are thought to be overlooking the mogh party terrorist activists.
