Hill Voice, 5 June 2023, Khagrachari: There have been allegations of BGB attempting to forcefully confiscate the domestic cows of the Jumma villagers as ‘Indian cows’ from the border village of Panchari upazila in Khagrachari district. Later, in the face of resistance from the local people, the BGB personnel were compelled to leave the cows and return to the camp from there.

Today Monday (June 5, 2023) morning, a group of BGB members from Dine Chandabari camp of BGB came to the border village of Dhudhukchara Simana Para of Panchari upazila of Khagrachari. At this time, they tried to seize the cattle of some villagers called ‘Indian cattle’. Being angry at this, all the men and women of the area protested and resisted such unjust actions of BGB.

Later, in the face of massive resistance from the locals, the BGB personnel were compelled to leave the cows and return to the camp.
