Hill Voice, 19 February 2023, Special Correspondent: No case of communal violence is being prosecuted in the country. If the Awami League government does not prosecute these acts of violence and remains silent, the role of minorities will be different in the next elections.
The leaders of the Hindu community said these views in a human chain and procession held in front of the National Museum in Shahbagh of the capital last Friday (February 17).
Sammilita Sanatan Parishad organized this human chain to protest the attack and vandalism of 14 temples in Dhantala Union of Baliadangi Upazila of Thakurgaon on February 5 and the attack on Matua conference in Mathbaria of Pirojpur and to demand punishment of the perpetrators. Council president Hirendra Nath Biswas said, ‘communal violence is going on day after day, in one way or another, in some place. It is not ending.
Apart from this, Supreme Court lawyer J K Pal, spokesperson of Bangladesh Hindu Parishad Suman Kumar Roy, director of Food for Life of ISKCON Rupanug Gaur Das Brahmachari, president of Bangladesh Jatiya Hindu Mahajot Sonali Das spoke.
