Hill Voice, 16 February 2024, Rangamati: With the slogan “Students should participate more in the larger movement to implement the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) Accord resisting all forms of conspiracies”, the 24th annual branch conference and council of Longadu thana Branch of Parbatya Chattagram Pahari Chatra Parishad (PCP) was held on 16 February 2024, at 11 am, in Ranjit Para area under Bogachadar Union of Longadu upazila.
In the day-long event, the general secretary of the committee Rintu Moni Chakma moderated the event while president of the committee Riken Chakma presided over it and assistant general secretary Shagata Chakma gave welcome speech there.
Agriculture and Land Affairs Secretary of Longadu thana committee of Parbatya Chattagram Jana Samhati Samiti (PCJSS) Binay Prasad Karbari, president of Longadu thana committee of Juba Samiti Dayal Kanti Chakma, general secretary of PCP central committee Thoaykyajai Chak, general secretary of Rangamati District Committee of PCP Tikel Chakma, member of Ward No. 6 of Bogachadar Union Parishad Joyati Bikash Chakma spoke as guest among others in the annual branch conference.
After the speeches of the guests, a new 17-member committee was elected with Ricken Chakma as president, Rintu Moni Chakma as general secretary and Swagata Chakma as organizing secretary, in the presence of representatives and observers. General Secretary of Rangamati District Committee of PCP Tikel Chakma administered oath to the new committee.
In the conference, the president congratulated all the members of the newly formed committee and concluded the event by greeting and thanking all those present in the conference.
