The victim was Tarindra Chakma, son of Lal Mohan Chakma, Village-Lambabak, Ward No 3, Dumdumya Union No 4, Jurachari Upazila. As his house was burnt, he has been living a neighbouring village, Shuknachari area of Bangaltuli area under Bilaichari upazila with his family.

According to local sources, on October 23, 2023, an army team of 15/16 personnel led by a warrant officer from Shukochari army camp under 32 Bir Dighalchari army zone of Bilaichhari upazila went on a patrol operation to Shuknachari village and picked Tarindra Chakma from his house there.

Even after 3 days, Tarindra Chakma has not been released yet and the family members do not know why the army took him, where he is kept and his state. It is said that the family members are extremely worried.
