Hill Voice, 9 February 2023, Special Correspondent: Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Oikya Parishad strongly condemned and protested the attack by miscreants on the Matua conference in Pirojpur and demanded the government to immediately arrest those involved in the incident and ensure exemplary punishment.
In a protest letter of the organization, it is said that on February 06, 2023, miscreants suddenly attacked three Matua groups while attending the Matua conference of Singa village of Mathbaria upazila of Pirojpur district.
The incident took place when these groups were going towards the local ashram while performing Kirtan with donka, kashar and flag. About 10 people were injured, one of them in critical condition.
Human chain and protest rally across the country on Saturday
Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Oikya Parishad and Minority Oikya Morcha have announced the program of human chain and protest rally across the country to be held on Saturday, February 11th at 4 pm in protest against the fresh incidents of attacks, threats, vandalism of Deva Bigraha and religious persecution upon the people of religious minority across the country including Baliadangi in Thakurgaon, Matua conference in Pirojpur.
Today Thursday afternoon a meeting of the Minority Oikya Morcha was held presided over by Sagar Sadhu Thakur, where everyone was called on for the successful implementation of this program.
