Hill Voice, July 2, 2022, Bandarban: It has been alleged that an innocent Marma youth has been abducted from the Bandarban Hill District Sadar area by army-backed Mog Party terrorists.
The victim was identified as Chasingnue Marma (29) son of Kyasaching Marma. His home is in the Gherao Bitar Para village of Ward No. 9 of Sadar Union in Rowangchari Upazila of Bandarban hill district.
According to local sources, an armed group of Mog Party terrorists led by Usainue Marma alias Anumong abducted Chasingnue Marma from a place named New Bridge in Bandarban district headquarter area on June 29, 2022 at around 8:00 pm.
After the abduction, a person named Pranta Ghosh Rony known as a collector of the Mog Party and coordinator with the army demanded a ransom of taka one lakh from a relative of the victim over mobile phone.
The abducted Chasingnue Marma is a driver of Saching Prue Jerry in Bandarban.
Meanwhile, the relatives of the abductee are in deep concern. At first they were able to communicate with the kidnappers but the latter they were reportedly unable to communicate with.
The release of the abductee was not known at the time of writing this report.
