Hill Voice, 2 April 2022, Bandarban: It is learnt that the Bangladesh army today arrested a Jumma village head (Karbari) from the village of Rajvila Upor Para of Rajvila Union under Bandarban Sadar Upazila and falsely accused him in an arms case. On the other hand, it has been alleged that the terrorists of the army-backed Mog Party terrorists kidnapped an innocent Jumma young man, the niece of the village head, yesterday.
According to local sources, today, April 2, 2022, at around 9:30 am, a group of 10/12 army personnel led by Md. Hanan, commander of the No.10 Rubber Bagan army camp under the 26 E Bengal Dolupara Army Camp, have detained Mongto Marma (32), son of late Mongprue Marma, the village head from Rajvila Upor Para of Rajvila Union. It is learnt that the army later handed over Karbari Mongto Marma to the local police station by entangling him in an arms case putting a local made gun with him. The arrested Karbari Mongto Marma is said to be a member of the Rajvila Union Committee of Parbatya Chattagram Jana Samhati Samiti (PCJSS).
According to local sources, on the night of April 1, 2022, a group of armed terrorists of the army-backed Mog Party abducted Sathuiching Marma (20), the niece of Karbari Mongto Marma. The abducted Sathuiching Marma’s house is in a village of Rajvila Upor Para of Ward No. 7 of Rajvila Union. It is learnt that Sathuiching Marma is a BA 1st year student of Bandarban Government College.
It is learnt that yesterday at around 5:00 pm, six armed terrorists of the Mog Party came to Rajvila Upor Para on three motorcycles and surrounded the house of Karbari Mongto Marma. Mongto Marma was not at home at that time. It is learnt that pistols were seen in the hands of the terrorists of Mog Party at that time.
Later in the night, the terrorists of the Mog Party abducted Sathuiching Marma on his way from Bangalhalia on a motorcycle from the temporary army camp area at No.10 Rubber Bagan. The terrorists are said to have taken Sathuiching Marma towards Bangalhalia of Rajasthali upazila of Rangamati district. As of writing this report, Sathuiching Marma has not been released.
