Hill Voice, 19 March 2021, Sirajganj: A house tutor has been accused of raping an indigenous college student in Tarash of Sirajganj. The incident took place in a village of the upazila around 9:00 pm on Thursday.
The accused Abu Saeed Mollah (38) is the son of late Zafar Mollah of Gultahaji Para village in Talam union of the upazila.
The father of the victim, a 17-year-old college student, has lodged a complaint with the Tarash police station.
According to the complaint, the parents of the indigenous College student were selling tea at a stall in their market around 9:00 pm on Thursday. By this time, Abu Saeed came to teach the indigenous college student and raped her intimidating. Later, people came forward and detained the accused and then beat extensively. The rapist young man was rescued and admitted to a hospital in senseless condition. He is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.
In this regard, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tarash Police Station Fazle Ashiq said, SI Abdul Matin of the police station has been sent to the spot to investigate the incident and legal action is being taken.
