Hill Voice, 6 October 2020, Rangamati: The mother of the rape victim has filed a case with the Longadu Police Station yesterday (5 October 2020) in connection with the rape of a Jumma girl of class XI at Karalyachari in No.1 Atarkachara Union in Longadu Upazila of Rangamati District.
Longadu police sent the victim to Rangamati General Hospital for medical test today Tuesday (6 October 2020) afternoon.
It is learnt that the accused of the rape Md. Abdur Rahim, headmaster of Karalyachari RS High School is absconding.
According to the statement of the case, the victim girl went to RS High School on September 25 at around 10 am to look for a goat. At that time the headmaster of the school Md. Abdur Rahim was staying there. He called the victim girl to school to take the lemon. When the girl entered into the school room, the headmaster grabbed her hand and raped her forcibly.
Rangamati Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration) Shufiullah said a case has been registered with Longadu Police Station. Police are trying to catch the culprit. The victim was sent to Rangamati General Hospital for a medical examination taking into police custody on Tuesday. The victim has given a statement under Section 22 in the Rangamati Judicial Magistrate’s Court this afternoon.
