Hill Voice, 5 July 2022, Rangamati: Another innocent Marma villager from Bandarban has been allegedly abducted from Bangalhalia Bazar in Bangalhalia Union of Rajasthali Upazila under Rangamati Hill District by army-backed Mog Party terrorists.
The abduction took place at around 9:00 am today (July 5, 2022).
The victim was identified as Kalamong Marma (31), son of late Sanu Aung Marma, village-Mashalbania Para, Ward 4, Rajvila Union, Bandarban Sadar Upazila. He came to Bangalhalia bazaar from his house this morning to sell piglets.
According to local sources, after selling piglets at Bangalhalia Bazaar this morning, Kalamong Marma went to a shop in Bazaar to buy oil for his Power Tiller car. At that time, at around 9:00 am, Kalamong Marma was abducted by some armed members of the Mog Party, led by Usingmong Rakhine alias Mundi.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that the wife of Kalamong Marma fainted after hearing the news of her husband’s abduction. It is learnt that the abducted Kalamong Marma’s wife was taken to Bandarban Sadar Hospital.
The latest news of the abduction was not known at the time of writing.
It is to be mentioned that an armed group of Mog Party terrorists led by Usainu Marma alias Anumong abducted an innocent youth named Chasingnue Marma (29) son of Kyaching Marma from a place called New Bridge in Bandarban District Sadar on June 29, 2022 at around 8:00 pm. Chasingnue Marmar’s house is said to be in the village of Gherao Vitar Para of No.9 Ward in Sadar Union of Roangchari Upazila of Bandarban. So far, Chasingnue Marma has not been released by the terrorists of the Mog Party.
An angry local Marma elder from Bangalhalia, who did not want to be named, said that all these were happening at the tip of the administration’s nose, but the administration was pretending not to see it and not to know it. Due to the silent role of the administration in this matter, the Mog Party has established a reign of terror in Rajasthali today.
