Hill Voice, 4 November 2025, Rangamati: It has been alleged that a Jumma named Milon Talukder was abducted by the UPDF (Prasit group), an anti-CHT Accord group, from Ramhari Para in Nanyachhar Upazila of Rangamati Hill District.
The abduction incident has taken place at 12:00 pm last Friday (October 31). Milon Talukder’s house is said to be in Purba Tribal Adam of Rangamati Municipality.
The abducted Milon Talukder was known to be the Personal Secretary (PS) of the former chairman of Rangamati Hill District Council, Aungshwipru Chowdhury.
Milon Talukder was abducted from there while visiting his in-laws’ house in Ramhari Para.
It was learnt that after the kidnapping, UPDF called his wife Kueli Chakma on Saturday (November 1) and demanded a ransom of Tk 75 lakh. Kueli Chakma is a teacher at Bhuadam Government Primary School.
