Hill Voice, 19 March 2026, Bandarban: At 11:30 AM on Thursday (19 March), the bodies of a Marma mother and daughter were recovered from a 150-foot ditch in a remote area of Lal Mohan Garden, Tanchangya Para, within the Meghla tourist area under Sadar Upazila of Bandarban district.

The deceased have been identified as Ramesing Marma (30) and Brishti Marma (4). Their home was in the Kana Para area of Meghla.

It is reported that the mother and her daughter had been missing since last night. After extensive searching, locals found them lying dead at the bottom of a 150-foot hill in a remote area.

The police were later informed, and the bodies were recovered from the scene and taken to the Sadar Hospital morgue.

However, it is still unclear whether the incident was a suicide or a murder.
