A Jumma villager abducted by UPDF (Prasit) armed terrorists in Logang

Hill voice, 8 February 2026, Special Correspondent: It has been alleged that a Jumma villager named Himel Chakma Jubok (55), a resident of Machchyachara under Logang Union of Panchari upazila in Khagrachari district, was abducted by UPDF armed terrorists at around 9:00 p.m. Saturday (7 February).

At that time, the villager was reportedly taken away by an armed terrorist group of UPDF (Prasit), led by commanders Aisukh, Nicholas, and Koen.

It has been learnt that, centering on the upcoming 13th Parliamentary Election, the armed terrorist group of UPDF (Prasit) has been exerting various forms of pressure and issuing threats to force all villagers of Machchyachara to vote for the Horse symbol. Under these circumstances, extreme fear and panic are prevailing among the general residents of the village.

It has been reported that after the abduction, the victim, Himel Chakma Juboikke, was taken towards Hedarachara.

In addition, the abductors reportedly threatened Himel’s family, warning them that they would face consequences if they failed to vote for the Horse symbol on 12 February.

As of the time of filing this report, the abducted individual has not yet been released, according to available information.
