Hill Voice, 28 January 2026, Bandarban: It has been alleged that approximately 100-120 army and BGB members have been conducting extensive patrolling and harassing search operations in Gyanalal Para, Brahmadatta Para and Kyachupara in Ward No. 8 of Bolipara Union of Thanchi Upazila under Bandarban district since around 6:30 am.

According to sources, 100-120 army and BGB members from the Alikadam Army Zone and the Bolipara Battalion (38 BGB) camp being divided into three groups of 20-30 in Gyanalal Para, 30 in Brahmadatta Para, and around 40-50 in Kyachupara, have conducted harassing search operations on ordinary villagers in those villages and flied drones.

As of the time of writing this report, army and BGB members stationed in Brahmadatta Para, Kyachupara and Gyanlalpara and are reported to have set up a temporary camp in an area called Jaijuri Mon (hill area) and to be staying there for a few days.

There have also been reports that villagers are being forced to provide the necessary supplies and goods to the army and BGB members staying in the area during this time.
